Google Calendar Help

Events and meetings for Pack 189 are tracked through Google calendar. You can view the Google calendar for the pack at the home page of (http://www.pack189.og). To include the main pack calendar in your own electronic calendar, follow the instructions for your device or software below.

Google Calendar

To include the Pack 189 calendar in your own Google calendar, type pack189committee in the dialog box directly below "Other calendars" on the left side of your http://google.com/calendar screen.

Android Phone or Tablet

To add the Pack 189 calendar to your Adroid calendar, follow these steps:

1. Subscribe to the calendar through Google calendar (see above).
2. Review your settings to ensure that the Pack 189 calendar is being displayed.

Apple iPhone or iPad

To add the Pack 189 calendar to your iPhone or iPad calendar, follow these steps:

1. Tap the "Settings" icon, then scroll down and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
2. Tap "Add Account" and select "Other."
3. Select the "Add Subscribed Calendar" option, type this URL in the Server box: https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/pack189calendar%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics and click "Next." Change any settings you see fit before saving the calendar. You do not need a username or password.
4. Toggle your view of the subscribed calendar by opening the Calendar app and tapping "Calendars" in the upper left corner. Tap a calendar name to either display or remove calendar events. Note that it may take a moment before the calendar.

Microsoft Outlook

To add the Pack 189 calendar to your Outlook calendar, follow these steps:

1. In Outlook, Choose "Tools" and "Account Settings"
2. In the dialog box that appears, click on the "Internet Calendars" tab.
3. Click on the "New" link and paste https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/pack189calendar%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics into the field.
4. Click "Add" when finished and enter a custom name for this new calendar if you want.
5. Click on your regular "Calendar" link in Outlook to view your default calendar. This new calendar should now be available in addition to your default calendar and can be viewed as an overlay to your default calendar or side-by-side. Apple iCal

To add the Pack 189 calendar to your Apple iCal calendar, follow these steps:

1. In iCal, choose Subscribe from the Calendar menu.
2. In the dialog box that appears, paste https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/pack189calendar%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics into the Calendar URL field then click Subscribe.
3. Change the Auto-refresh frequency to Every day (important!), then click OK. The events should now appear on your calendar.

Other Pack Calendars

Each den also has its own Google calendar, which can be viewed on the main web page for each den. Additionally, the pack has a leader committee which has its own calendar. If you would like to include a den calendar in your electronic calendar, follow the steps outlined above for the pack calendar, but substitue these names or URLs for the ones mentioned above:

For example, if you are in the Tiger Den, you will be interested in both the pack calendar and the tiger calendar. To include both in your Google calendar, you would add pack189calendar and pack189tiger following the instructions above. To see these calendars on your iPhone, you would add the subscribed calendar URLs
