Polar Camp on January 17th

Polar Camp this year will be on January 17th at Gamehaven Scout Reservation.  This camp is always a lot of fun and includes activities such as sledding, smores, ice fishing, sleigh rides, and more.  To register for camp, please contact Tim, our Den 4 Leader.

Candy Bar Bingo on December 9th



Our next pack meeting is December 9th at 6:30 pm at Washington Elementary in the Art Room.

Our activity for the night will be Candy Bar Bingo.  Bring a full size candy bar to the event and put it in the basket.  Once you get bingo you get to choose a candy bar from the basket.  The event is open to everyone who brings a candy bar (including parents, siblings, grandparents, etc).

Operation Hometown Gratitude Pack Meeting on November 11th



Our next pack meeting will be at Mayo High School on November 11th at 6:30 pm.  We will be packing boxes for Operation Hometown Gratitude.  Please enter Mayo High School through door 5 and proceed upstairs to room 238C.

About OHG:
Operation Hometown Gratitude is an effort organized by students in the Rochester high schools as a way to support local troops and thank them for their service.  You can read more about the program here: Rochester School District OHG

Donation Request:
Please consider bringing some supplies with you to donate to the cause.  There is a current need for toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, jerky, hot chocolate, coffee, and powdered drink mixes.  A more extensive list of items can be found here: OHG Supplied Needed

Also, please note that scouts can also bring in extra Halloween candy to send to the troops as well.

Veterans Day
Our Operation Hometown Gratitude meeting this year will be extra meaningful as it falls on Veterans Day.  Please consider discussing with your scout the meaning of Veterans Day and the the debt that we as a country owe the men and women who have served in the military.

Make a Movie Night

Join us at 6:30 on Tuesday October 28 in the Art Room at Washington Elementary School for our monthly pack meeting.  Our activity will be "Make a Movie Night."

Here is the plan:
1.  Each den will be assigned a scene. 
2.  There will be a bag with 6 mandatory props that need to be used in the scene.
3.  Feel free to bring additional props or costumes for your scene if you desire.
4.  There will be about 30 minutes to work on a 2-3 minute scene.  Den leaders and parents please help them as needed.
5.  We will film the movie in the last 10 minutes of the pack meeting.

The Awesome Cub Scout Camping Trip Adventure

Scene 1. Cub scouts pack for a camping trip and discuss what they plan to do with the stuff they bring.

Scene 2. Arriving at camp a strict drill sergeant seems to think this is boot camp.  They deal with the drill sergeant.

Scene 3. The scouts go on a hike and discover aliens from outer space that are up to no good.

Scene 4. The scouts take on the aliens and save the planet.

Join us at Washington at 3pm on Sunday October 5 for our landscaping community service project!  Bring rakes, gloves, sleds (form moving mulch), and any other landscaping equipment you want to use.
