Operation Hometown Gratitude - November 17th

Our next pack meeting will be at Mayo High School on November 17th at 6:30 pm.  We will be packing boxes for Operation Hometown Gratitude.  Please enter Mayo High School through door 5 and proceed upstairs to room 238C.

About OHG:

Operation Hometown Gratitude is an effort organized by students in the Rochester high schools as a way to support local troops and thank them for their service.  You can read more about the program here: Rochester School District OHG

Donation Request:

Please consider bringing some supplies with you to donate to the cause.  There is a current need for toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, jerky, hot chocolate, coffee, and powdered drink mixes.  A more extensive list of items can be found here: OHG Supplied Needed

Pack Meeting Tonight!!!

The first official pack meeting is tonight, September 29th at 6:30 pm.  We are meeting at Washington Elementary in the gym and playing paper airplane golf.  Hope to see you there!

Join Scouting Night is also coming up on September 17th at 7:00 pm.  If you are interested in scouting, come out to the school to learn more about the program and to sign up.

Flag Pickup at Oakwood

The American Legion can use help picking up flags in Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday, May 30th.  If you are able to help out, please meet by the flagpole in the SW corner of the cemetery at 9:00 am.

Rockets and Ice Cream - May 19th at 6:30 pm

Rockets and Ice Cream: Two great things that are great together!

Join Pack 189 at the Washington field for our last pack meeting of the school year.  We will launch water bottle rockets while we partake of frozen treats.

Interested in Cub Scouts?  This is a great opportunity to come ask questions and see what scouting is about.  We'll have some extra supplies for our guests so they can build rockets too.

Flag Placement at Oakwood Cemetery

For the second year in a row we are helping the American Legion honor Veterans by placing flags at Oakwood Cemetery for Memorial Day.  Please consider coming out at 9:00 am and lending a hand.  There are hundreds of flags that need to put out and many hands help make this worthwhile task go quickly.

Science Fun Night at Washington - April 7th

Pack 189 and the Washington PTA will be sponsoring a Science Fun Night on April 7th at 6:30 pm in the Washington Gym.  This event is open to all students at Washington.

There will be multiple, hands-on stations set-up that will demonstrate the principles of science and engineering.  Plan on coming and bring a friend to this fun event.

Pack Meeting March 24th - Minute to Win It

Back by popular demand our March pack meeting will feature a variety of Minute to Win It games.

Think you can move a cookie from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands?

How about stack 3 golf balls on top of each other?

Come test your skills on March 24th at 6:30 pm in the Art Room.

Blue & Gold Potluck - February 24th

The annual Blue & Gold dinner will be February 24th at Evangel United Methodist Church in the multi-purpose room at 6:00 pm.  The dinner will be a potluck this year.

Pinewood Derby - February 6th

The Pinewood Derby will take place February 6th in the Washington Gym with check-in starting at 6:45 pm.

Crossover Pack Meeting on Jan. 27th

Our next pack meeting will be on January 27th at 6:30 pm in the Art Room and will include a ceremony honoring our Webelos 2 Scouts from Den 3 who will be completing their Cub Scouting adventure.  We wish them well in their future endeavors.
